Sat Run

Sat. April 7,2007

I didn't make it to the Sat. AM VR Training Run. I set my watch alarm and didn't hear it ring at 5:00 AM. My intentions were to run an hour of trails at 6:00am, then run an hour with the group at 7:00am. Well...that didn't happen, PLAN B...Run trails alone at 12:30pm. I picked the Cascade Valley's Schumacher Trail that links up with the Valley Trail that leads into Sand Run. I like this trail, its close to home, I can run anywhere from 30 minutes to 4 hours using this trail. Today my time was about 1:30 (including picture time) I need to learn to use stop my watch when taking pictures.

Schumacher is located off of Cuyahoga St., between Uhler Ave. & W. Portage Trail in North Akron.

Yes it's April 7, there is flipping snow on the ground and icicles on the garage. Temps were in the high 20's low 30's today.

I had a bit of a flashback, as you can see there is one of those arrowhead markers from Wednesday night's run. It's on the corner of Sandrun & Portage Path.

There's a few water crossings and plenty of hills to climb.

WHERE IN POPTARTS & GARLIC IS THE TRAIL?????? I made a wrong turn and headed off the trail a little bit.

This bridge spams across the mighty Cuyahoga River.

Oh, you just went off-piste for a short while.
I like to eat quinoa and am going to try some of your recipes.
